Apologies & Mug-Cakes!

I have a few apologies to pass out this week:

#1. I have not posted on this blog for months, and for that I am truly sorry.
#2. I have not shared certain recipes I had promised to bestow on you, and for that I am also sorry.
#3. However, last, (and this ones the biggest), I need to apologize and ask God for forgiveness for what I like to cal 'slacking'.

Not only have I not read my bible all week, I have not given him even 30 seconds of my time. I created this blog, to help myself, and others, grow closer to God. And have fun while doing it!! I ask you, how am I supposed to help others, when I can't even help myself?

So I ask for your forgiveness, and hope to post once to three times a week for the rest of summer.

Now, on to the fun stuff: I give you MUG-CAKES!!!!!!!!

The most delicious, quickest homemade snack ever!!

There are thousands of recipes, and if you have all the right ingredients it takes less than 5 minutes!

Here's a link to all the yummy, and sometimes interesting recipes I have found:

These are great to whip up right before sitting down to read your bible, and do your devotions! I like to have mine with a glass of milk on the side :)

Enjoy, and keep up those devotions because no matter how hard they get to keep up, keep on keeping on! Because in the end, they are totally worth it! They will fill you up mentally and spiritually (and the snacks will keep you physically full :) ).

So my dear readers, enjoy your snack, and keep up your devotions!

Simple Mornings

Give your love a morning phone call, with the Psalms.

Get comfy after preparing this smoothie: http://stories.savvymom.ca/7bZn

And read a psalm or two, not only will you be having a great drink, but will be growing closer to your dearest loved one.

I did exactly that just this morning, and not only was I energized physically, but spiritually. In terms of the smoothie, add all the wet ingredients first, then the spinach (mix), then add a teeny bit more peanut butter. And Viola'! A delicious healthy drink, with a side of Psalms.
Enjoy :)

More Like Falling In Love

I'm sure most of you have heard the song "More Like Falling in Love", by Jason Gray.
And that is exactly the point I am trying to prove, and show to you.

"I need more than, a truth to believe, I need a truth that lives, moves and breaths.
To sweep me off my feet, it's gotta be more like falling in love than something to believe in.
More like loosing my heart, than giving my allegiance.
Caught up, called out. Come take a look at me now, it's like I'm falling. It's like I'm falling in love."

~More Life Falling in Love, by Jason Gray

People, we need to be swept off our feet with love for Jesus! He IS love! Compared to your love for him, you should look like you hate everyone else!

Now in other news, I promised you a recipe. So here is my favorite mashed potato recipe, later today I'll give you the recipe for spicy pretzels.
This is for 9 people.
Take a bunch of potato's depending on the number you are feeding, in this case 9. (And I know its not an exact number, do about a potato or 2 per person) Chop into quarters (do not peel), boil in boiling water till mash-able. Place into the container you wish to have mashed potatoes in, some of the skins will fall off if you just prod them with a fork. Do this to a few of them, and then mash them.
Next put in around a half a stick of butter, (however if your only cooking for 2 or 4 people you might want to do a quarter stick.) Mix in.
Then put in half a box/container (more or less depending on amount) of cream cheese in. Mix in.
Then sprinkle seasoning salt (can be found in most spice isles of stores), until salty enough. Mix in.
Serve and enjoy.

Simple, yummy, and addicting.
Hope you guys enjoy it! See y'all later!

What to DO on Your Dates With Jesus

The possibilities are endless, but here are a few simple ones to get you started.

What would you do if you were in love with someone, are engaged to them and excited to finally be united for life. Now remember this person loves you more than life itself and has no faults, so what would you do with this person?

Well lets say he writes you love letters, you would love to read them over and over and OVER again, and guess what? He has given you 64 BOOKS of love letters and songs (Psalms). Read them to him, with him, over and OVER again. (hint HINT B-I-B-L-E)

Now it doesn't stop there, write him love letters! Sing him love songs of your own!

Now you'd talk to this person a TON right? Well do the same, talk to him everyday! Have a picnic on your bed, and talk to him for hours while eating your favorite foods! Ask him questions, and find out more about this love of your life everyday!

You can have huge or small sessions of doing these various things, and create your own! Tonight I'm going to have a LONG conversation with him with some water, and possibly a snack. Tomorrow I'll share with you one of my favorite recipes for spicy (or seasoned) pretzels. I'd love your opinions, and recipes and ideas of your own. So please share!!
